Artist Statement

My current work involves the mixing of both abstract and geometric forms and shapes in order to deepen and enhance my concepts of painting, mark making, and sculpture. Stylistically, I try to take a sort of nonchalant and gestural approach to the process, mixing both elements of control together with elements freedom. I find that this helps for the process to be both fun and exciting, yet also helps my work to adhere to a sense of professionalism and formality that is necessary for it to keep a certain level of quality and depth to it.
